How do you produce your vinyl wall decals?
Nice try! But this is a secret :-)
Every decal is manufactured to order based on the specifications you chose on our website (size, color & orientation/view), and much of the detail is hand-crafted in our Creative Cave by our amazingly talented Dezign team.

What type of vinyl do you use?
We choose premium quality, matte finish, adhesive vinyl for our wall decals (except for Gold and Silver; these have a shiny gloss metallic finish).
This material is chosen to give our designs the impression that they have been painted directly onto your wall, while being 100% removable and safe for your interior.
Can I reuse my Dezign With a Z vinyl decal?
In some circumstances the vinyl material can be reused. Simple designs such as polka dots, stars, rings, etc can be carefully removed from your walls and reapplied to another surface. However, due to the nature of the material, as well as variances in ways people tend to attempt to remove their decals, we cannot guarantee that every design is safe to reuse.
However we can special order removable vinyl material to manufacture your wall decal. Please contact us directly to learn more about this custom option
What is the best way to apply my wall decal?
All orders placed with us will contain easy to follow step by step instructions.
For your convenience our website also contains an instruction video demonstrating the application of a vinyl decal.

What is the average “lifespan” of my Dezign With a Z decal?
Our supplier guarantees that the vinyl material is good for a minimum of 5 years, but life expectancy is much higher when it comes to indoor use.
Dezign With a Z decals can be used on any exterior surface. Most types of weather will not affect the decal, so long as it is applied onto a smooth, dry and clean surface.
Our decals can absolutely be used outside ; for instance on outside walls or fence (as long as they are smooth painted surface or slightly textured), on cars & vehicules, on windows...
Note: f you plan to use Dezign With a Z decals in extreme weather (such as boat...), we recommend that you contact us directly. We will manufacture your order in a special vinyl material appropriate for this type of use.
Can I remove my wall decal / How do I remove my vinyl decal?
All of our vinyl wall decal products are guaranteed to be removed safely, without leaving residues or damaging your walls. You can simply peel them off your wall by hand.

Will there be any damage to my walls after I remove the decal?
Not at all. All of our wall vinyl sticker products are easy to remove, and will not leave any residue on your walls. This makes our wall decals perfect for those who are renting a home or office, college students living in dorms, or individuals that are looking for a new and fun way to decorate their home.
Note: In some circumstances, such as decal set on glass or windows, it may be difficult to peel off the decal ; then we recommend to use a blow dryer on heat position to loosen the decal bond while removing it. You can also use this technique when your wall decal is set on a fragile surface that you are really afraid to damage. We also strongly advise to use this technique to remove glow in the dark decals or chalkboard stickers since these products use a stronger glue.

Is it safe to use wall decals in nurseries or kids room?
Yes it is! Our wall decals will adhere to walls strong enough that babies or young children won't be able to remove it on their own.
What sort of colors can my wall decals come in? Can I order a custom color?
We have a broad assortment of colors available (24 colors available right away) and some “exotic” vinyl material such as our famous Chalkboard material and Glow In The Dark/Phosphorescent vinyl. You can view and select these standard colors while you are placing your order and customizing your decal prior to adding them to the cart.
It is also possible to place an order for a color chart with samples by going to our custom decal section or by clicking the following link : order a vinyl color chart. This way you can get an accurate color sample to see what will contrast best with your surface.
We can also do custom coloring and can match any Pantone Color Code.

Do the color samples I see on my monitor exactly match the colors of the product?
There may be differences in the colors due to the RGB calibration of your computer monitor. For instance colors may appear to be flashy when viewing on your monitor.
Anyway don't worry we have been choosing our colors carefully for the best home decorating look!
For instance if you ask about our Brown color, yes it is a real chocolate brown ! or if you want to know if our lime green is really an apple green, yes it is! :-)
If you have doubts just feel free to contact us directly or simply order a vinyl color chart or a canvas printed sample to double check. Voila!
What surfaces are best for me to apply my decal onto?
Our vinyl decals adhere well to any flat surface. This includes but is not limited too walls (interior as well as exterior), mirrored surfaces, bathrooms (including inside bath tubs shower doors), wood surfaces, and metals.
Please note that our decals were not designed to be placed on skin. Also don't eat or chew them! Yes, they are good but only on your walls... :-)
How do I know if I am ordering the right size?
Prior to ordering make sure to take the dimensions of the space you are going to place your decal, and take into consideration how it will appear proportionally to other items within the area (furniture, décor, etc).
We offer options for up to 4 different sizes on our website (small / medium / large and mega size).
We also offer custom sizes if needed. Simply contact us to learn more about custom sizes options.
If my vinyl decal comes with multiple elements, can they be separated, or do I have to apply them exactly how they were manufactured?
If your decal comes with multiple elements that are separate from each other feel free to be creative and have a little fun. Simply use scissors to separate the various elements and apply them as you want onto your surface.
Gosh! Are you going to tell me the difference between decals, tats, stickers, stick-ons...?!?!!
Ok you're like me you've heard gazillions different terminologies... to name (some of) them: decals, wall stickers, wall tattoos, stick-ons, wall tats... and I'm sure I'm forgetting several here.
Is there a specific reason? an explanation? maybe something we overlooked or misunderstood...
The answer is... NO! (also known as "nope"), there is none! They are all the same thing ^^

HOW TO SELECT YOUR DECAL / STICKER OPTIONS ON DEZIGN WITH A Z WEBSITE
1. Select your wall sticker color :
This option will allow you to visualize the color of your wall decal. You can test the different colors in the right panel and view how your decal will look like.
2. Visualize your decal on your walls :
you can get a good idea of what your decal will look like on your walls by using this option. This option simply helps you decide if the color you choose for your decal in step1 is right. To avoid confusion remember that our decals have no background.
3. Choose the size of your decal :
there is usually up to 4 different sizes you can choose from.
4. Choose the orientation :
You can decide if you want your decal to be in the regular view or the reversed view as shown here.
5. Choose quantity :
Decide how many decals you want to order
6. Place your order:
Once you have selected your options you simply have to click on the checkout button to proceed to checkout.
Then you will have to sign-in to your Dezign With a Z account or to create a Dezign With a Z account if you didn't already open one.
Note: while you are shopping on our website the content of your basket is always showing on the top right handside of your screen with the total.
After you added decals to your basket you can keep browsing our website and decide to checkout at any time.
Remember, our website is secured and your information are safely transmitted.
