TRI – Toyota Research Instituteby Paula on Tuesday 14 June, 2016
To say we love robots would be an understatement! We love the creativity, the engineering and the technology behind robotics. So when Toyota Research Institute (TRI) contacted us to produce a 3D logo sign for the entrance on their brand new facilities we were stoked!
Moving to a new building in Palo Alto, they wanted to make sure their reception area displayed their logo in a professional way. After doing a walk-through of their space, we’ve decided to do an acrylic logo sign to be mounted onto the main wood wall behind the reception desk.
Their company colors are grey, red and black which we carefully matched on the materials used for the logo sign. We chose to use a back board to create support since the wood paneling was uneven and had gaps between panels.
The final piece is a glossy white acrylic board with the logo pieces raised with clear studs. The 3D company name and tagline cut letters are placed directly on the board creating an interesting effect of 2 different heights.
We couldn’t be happier with the results! The entire staff was thrilled with how the custom logo sign looked on their wall and we also heard that some of their team members in Japan are looking to create the same sign. I guess we are going to have to send someone over. Tokyo anyone?!
