A very nice post from John... decorative wall cling

"Contest or no contest, I just wanted to say thanks for some great wall cling dezign elements from you!

My mom and dad's kitchen was stuck in the 80's and it took forever to get them to agree to an update. I had to find elements that Mom really liked. So I stayed in her color palette, maintained the overall feel of her kitchen and brought in an element that I knew she would love ... flowers and plants! Voilá ... I purchased two large (96" x 48") Maple leaf (I think it's actually Virginia Creeper!) wall cling, one regular and one reversed, both in darker grey.

Her kitchen has these two really tall walls (14 feet high!) above her cabinets that angled sharply up to the ceiling and they just sucked the energy up and out of the room. No one ever knew what to do with those two TALL walls!

So I painted all the other walls a really nice 'Summer Dragonfly' (blue/green) and painted the tall walls a light grey to make them not only visually fade out and but they also became "gallery walls" for your wall tats. The colors contrasted and complemented each other really well.

However, the element that brought it all together was your wall cling decals. The clings brought nature indoors, and gave the room artistic interest and visual purpose. They gave the room what it desperately needed, gave my Mom what she loves ... flowers and plants, and gave me what I needed in there ... ART!.
